KamalRossa Making a Difference

Updated:
"Hi, my name is Monica KamalRossa. I studied and got my bachelors in mathematics. I also received my masters in instructional design and business education with a specialty in teaching and learning." Monica KamalRossa is using the Internet to educate others. To understand where she's heading -- you first need to understand where she's been. She had a fairy tale wedding at Governor Dodge State Park in October of 2000. She loves to boat -- but not with a motor -- canoes and kayaks are more her thing. Her husband Bob plays guitar in a garage band, loves to bike and - like Monica - enjoys anything outdoors. Her son Nader enjoys soccer when he's outside -- and messing around at his home made table game when he's inside. You might say she's part of a typical all-american family. If there was such a thing as super mom -- Monica would give anyone a run for their money. But pay close attention to this home video and you'll understand that Monica KamalRossa is anything but typical -- "I love this house. I wish I could buy it. But i can't because it's not accessible." That's right Monica uses a wheelchair to get around -- never letting challenges to her mobility get in the way of inspiring others. She recently spent time with Olympian Roy Heathcoat at the madison curling club. "Oh, he's inspiring. He's inspiring and I want to be inspiring like that. I want to go out and do things so people can go, yeah, she can do it so i can do it." Monica's injury came January 22, 2001 after volunteering to chaperone a ski trip for her son. She broke her back and severed her spine on the slopes. That didn't stop her. She went on to win the ms. Wheelchair wisconsin crown and uses that platform to advance her rolling with dignity campaign. "Awareness is the big thing. And I want more awareness believe it or not at the university and in politically correct Madison." She believing she really can make a difference in your life. I've seen it make a difference already. So yes, deep down I think it's going to make a difference.
