(KWWL)-- Funds for DTV coupons may run dry before the big switchover on February 17th.
The government program is providing $40 vouchers for the converter boxes needed for analog television sets in order to function when stations switch to digital transmissions.
Available funding for the project was just more than $50 million, but current projections estimate that will be higher.
Officials predict they will reach their mark in early February. The coupon program is scheduled to end March 31.
