Arrests made, plants seized in Lodi drug investigation

LODI (WKOW) -- Columbia County Sheriff's deputies arrested three people following an investigation on Summerville Park Road on Tuesday.

Officers from the Sheriff's Department Drug Unit were called to N2596 Summerville Park Road for a complaint of an odor coming from the house.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of Joshua M. Driscoll, Jonathan R. Ripp, and an unnamed rural Lodi woman and the discovery of 239 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, drug paraphernalia, a shotgun, processed marijuana, and various growing equipment.

Driscoll, who is from rural Lodi, faces charges of manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a drug house, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Driscoll is expected to be in Columbia County court on Thursday.

Ripp, who is from Black Earth, was arrested on obstruction charges.

The rural Lodi woman was referred to the District Attorney's Office for maintaining a drug dwelling.

The Columbia County District Attorney's Office aided in the investigation.
