MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Police are searching for a man who they say robbed a west side bank location Tuesday morning.

Employees at the Raymond Rd. Anchor Bank say a man entered the branch around 10:15 a.m. armed with a handgun. He grabbed some cash and ran.

Officers were able to track his footprints in the snow to Russet Rd., where it appears he jumped into a getaway vehicle.

The robber is described as a black man between 20 and 30 years old, 5'10" with facial stubble, wearing distinctive eyeglasses, a black or gray jacket and a blue hat.

If you have any information, call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014 or text the keyword DANE along with a message of up to 160 characters, to CRIMES (274637).
