MADISON (WKOW) -- With snow on the ground and ice covering many lakes in Wisconsin, water skiing would be the last thing on many people's mind.
Except for the Mad-City Ski Team.
The group put on the first ever Project Snowflake on frigid Lake Monona.
Some performers tried to dress warm, while others chose not to.
The event is a fundraiser for the American Family Children's Hospital.
"The meaning of project snowflake came from every snow flake is different. Just like children are different, they all have different personalities and needs," said Mad-City Ski Team member Mark Sanderfoot.
Performers defrosted in hot tubs set up near the shore.
