VERONA (WKOW) -- Zumba Club Madison is hosting another ZumbaThon for a good cause.
This is the third ZumbaThon planned by Madison area Instructor Jill Budde. The first raised funds for Gilda's Club Madison, the second brought in donations for Y.A.M.S. food pantry and this one benefits Four Winds Skilled Nursing and Rehab Facility in Verona.
According to Budde, "Nursing Homes often get over-looked when it comes to giving during the holidays. The Jingle Bell ZumbaThon intends to change that. Zumba, the popular form of dance exercise rooted in Latino and International rhythms is the perfect venue for drawing lots of people. And lots of people giving makes a HUGE difference in the lives of others. It's a win-win situation...People get to dance, have fun and take care of themselves during a stressful time of year while at the same time help others."
Money raised at the event will be used to support the Music Therapy and Entertainment for the residents at the Four Winds Skilled Nursing and Rehab facility. Participants are also encouraged to bring "stocking stuffers" (electric razors, lotions and nail polish) which will be delivered just in time for the holidays.
Men, women and children are welcome to attend.
