MADISON (WKOW) -- The UW hospital honored some of it's own for their military service over seas.
The color guard was at a special ceremony honoring employees and family members in the military.
Plaques were handed out to honor those deployed overseas serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, including Senior Master Sergeant Eugene Finnerty, who just returned from Iraq this morning.
"My wife mentioned there would be a recognition and I didn't think I would be able to come back for it. She planned to bring the kids its nice to be home for it," Finnerty says.
The UW Hospital honored four employees and 19 family members for their military service.
