MADISON (WKOW) -- The Dow surged to its highest level in more than a year Monday.
The Dow closed at 10226.94, that's up 203.52 or 2.03% on the day. This comes after finance ministers of the G20 said they will maintain economic stimulus efforts and keep interest rates low. U.S. rates are already near zero.
Meanwhile, gold prices climbed to another new high as the U.S. dollar sank to a 15-month low.
Gold for December up $5.70 an ounce to $1,101.40.
The dollar is at its lowest level against other major currencies since August 2008.
