WKOW 27: Madison, WI Breaking News, Weather and Sports14-year-old Fitchburg girl accused of trying to kill foster sister

FITCHBURG (WKOW) -- Police say the girl was armed with a knife on Wednesday afternoon and threatened to kill her foster sister.
Officers responded to the 2600 block of Dungarvan Road at around 4:30 p.m. The girl refused to drop the knife until officers repeated warnings they would use a taser if she didn't comply. She was then taken into custody.
Police say the girl attempted to stab the intended victim several times, however, she was restrained by an adult in the home. No one was hurt.
Investigators says the 14-year-old has been involved in violence directed at other people and animals in the past and continue to look into those matters.
