MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating an unusual theft: H1N1 vaccine.
Police arrested a 38-year-old man Thursday night after he allegedly swiped an idling truck from outside a clinic that contained 900 doses of the vaccine.
Officers found the abandoned truck less than an hour later with the vaccine in tact. A witness pointed to the suspect leaving a nearby liquor store and identified him as one of three men in the truck.
Police are still searching for the two other men who were allegedly in the vehicle as well.
City health officials say even if the vaccine was not tampered with, it's considered compromised because it was out of sight of the city and it must be destroyed.
