UNDATED (WKOW) -- Both General Motors and Ford say their sales went up in October.
That comes after a very dismal September that followed the end of the government's hugely popular Cash for Clunkers program.
Last month, GM saw its first year over year sales increase in 21 months.
Ford says October sales were 21 per cent better than they were in September.
Chrysler's sales were up 6 percent from September but down 30 percent from a year ago.
