MADISON (WKOW) -- A study from UW-Madison suggests it takes a combination of products to help someone quit smoking.
There are patches, lozenges and gum to help kick the habit, but the UW study says its takes pairing the patch and lozenges to get the best result.
In the study, researchers looked at 1,500 heavy smokers over 12 weeks. Those using both the patch and lozenges were more likely to have quit at 7 days in and had a longer period of time before relapsing.
