The Wisconsin men's basketball team will get its season underway in about 2 weeks. They spoke to the media on Wednesday regarding the upcoming season.
The team lost 2 seniors off last year's squad, Joe Krabbenhoft and Marcus Landry. They are looking for players such as Keaton Nankivil, Jon Leuer, Rob Wilson and Tim Jarmusz to help fill the void.
Last year's team made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament and they hope to return this year.
The team expects 2 redshirt freshmen, Ryan Evans and Jared Berggren, to help as well.
The players were fairly relaxed when speaking to members of the media. Head coach Bo Ryan was in midseason form during his press conference.
"I feel like I've won the lottery," Ryan said when describing what it felt like to be on the sidelines for his ninth season in Madison.
The Badgers will hold their Red-White scrimmage on Sunday. Golfers Steve Stricker and Andy North will serve as honorary coaches for the game.
