
LAFAYETTE COUNTY (WKOW) -- Lafayette County teacher Todd Strang was sentenced for two counts of having sexual intercourse with a high school student over the age of 16.
A sentence was withheld on both counts and Strang was giving five years probation. Under his probation conditions, Strang will serve eight months in the county jail with Huber privileges. He will also need to register as a sex offender. Strang pled guilty to the charges in May 2009.
The assaults happened when Strang was a teacher at a high school in Lafayette County in 2000 and 2001. He engaged in sexual intercourse at his home with a student during her junior and senior year that the high school where Strang worked as a teacher.
