POYNETTE (WKOW) -- One of the two new Canadian lynx kittens at Poynette's Mackenzie Center had to be euthanized.
A Mackenzie Center employee found the lynx unable to move its back legs. A trip to the UW's vet school revealed the lynx had suffered an irreparable spinal cord injury. The lynx kitten was fine when it made it's debut September 2nd.
No word on how the lynx was injured.
Officials at the Mackenzie Center hope to replace the kitten.
